Monrovia is the capital of Liberia. Monrovia had a population of 970,824 as of the 2008 census, containing 29% of the population of Liberia and is the country's most populous city. founded in 1822, Monrovia was named in honor of James Monroe, supporter of the ACS. it is part of Montserrado county. their main exports are latex, iron ore, cement, bricks, and tiles. It is the home of the university of Liberia, university of west Africa, African Methodist episcopal university and more.
Paynesville(sometimes panyesward) is a suburb east of Monrovia. geographically lager than the city of Monrovia and is currently expanding along robertsfeild high way. The Samuel kanyon doe sports complex is located in Paynesville, so is the Liberia broadcasting system. Paynesville is also the home of the Paynesville Omega Transmitter, the largest structure in Africa. very popular for its beaches, hotels, night clubs and restaurants.
Congotown is a small town and is east of the small suburb of panyesville. it is known for having nice houses and hotels. congotown is home to the american, Liberian and Chinese embassy. congotown has lots of beaches amusement parks to explore
